Umag is very attractive and charming Mediterranean town and as tourists tend to say, it is the Adriatic’s Monte Carlo. The Umag is the first tourist destination only 10km away from the place where you enter to northern Adriatic coast from Slovenia to Croatia. The Umag is with highways and airways well connected to all major world cities and capitals.
It is interesting the fact about its location because it is only 50 nautical miles away from the world-famous destination, Venice, and is located in the attractive Bay where is the most famous ACI marina, which owns the prestigious blue flag. Umag has a very interesting history: since ancient times, when it was discovered by the Roman nobility, they have appropriated it for themselves and turn into a summer residence. Glory, pageantry and glamour of those times are clearly reflected today by archaic Venetian houses which still abound in the old part of Umag, representing certainly very interesting and attractive place for tourists.
