Recently Alanya, located 115 km east of Antalya, has become a very attractive destination for those tourists who are just looking for a new holiday locations. Alanya is mostly visited by tourists from the UK. In the last 10 years, Alanja has doubled number of tourists, and in the summer time it is about a half million people.

Alanya, just as other cities on the Turkish coast, has a typical Mediterranean climate, miles long sandy beaches with many modern hotels built mainly on the sea coast in the shadow of pine forest, situated in the bay between the Taurus mountains in the north and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. Tourists who like the active holidays as well as educational part of the holidays certainly are interesting visits to the Church of St. John from 11.centuries, as well as the fortress built during the reign of emperior Seldzuk.
